Why Share the Gospel?

Why Do We Need to Share the Gospel?

Introduction

Now that we understand what the Gospel is, the next question is — why do we need to share it?
The Gospel isn’t just something we keep to ourselves. When we truly grasp what Jesus has done for us, it naturally stirs a desire to tell others. Sharing the Gospel is both an act of obedience and an act of love. It’s about helping others experience the same forgiveness, freedom, and new life that we have received in Christ.

Key Passage

The Great Commission

Jesus’ final words before ascending to heaven were not a suggestion—they were a command.
This is what we call the Great Commission. It’s the mission Jesus gave to every believer:
to go, make disciples, and teach others to follow Him.

Key Truths

  • Sharing the Gospel is not optional—it’s part of our obedience to Christ.

  • We are all called to go and make disciples.

  • “All nations” doesn’t only mean traveling abroad—it means wherever God has placed you:

    • your workplace,

    • your school,

    • your business,

    • your community, or home.

  • Our calling is to help others follow Jesus and then teach them how to help others do the same.

God’s Promise

Whenever we share the Gospel, we are not alone. Jesus Himself promises to be with us—guiding, strengthening, and empowering us to fulfill His mission.

  • He has commissioned you to bring the Good News to those around you and help them grow in their journey with Him.
